Data Protection: 

STAFF TRAINING

Would members of staff benefit from specific training on how GDPR impacts on their day-to-day work? We offer two courses that are tailored to the sector that you work in:

Course 1 is designed for any staff member who handles personal data as part of their job (such as a carer or member of admin staff). 

Course 2 is more in depth and designed to train any member(s) of your staff to respond to a Data Breach or a Subject Access Request.

Both courses have a certificate of completion included (which lasts for one year) and can be used towards annual CPD requirements.

Course 1:

GDPR in the Workplace

LEARNING OUTCOMES: A brief review of Articles 5, 6 and 9 of GDPR
  • General overview of GDPR (what is it and why does it exist)

  • Why is it important to have a general awareness of GDPR?

  • How does GDPR specifically impact my work?

  • Duration of workshop is 2 hours

£75 per person (minimum 5 persons)




Course 2:

Managing Breaches and Access Requests

LEARNING OUTCOMES: A detailed review of Articles 13-22 and 37-39 of GDPR; and Sections 119, 132, 144, 148, 170, 171 and 174 Data Protection Act (2018)
  • What is a DPO?

  • What is a Data Breach and what should be done if one occurs?

  • What is an SAR and what should be done if one occurs?

  • When to seek further assistance

  • When to contact the ICO

  • Duration is 2-3 hours
